Likken

Introduction

Likken is a simple interface for managing directories via the LDAP protocol. It allows an end-user to view and edit information on the directory (like his own information) without the need to know about LDAP or to be helped by a system administrator.

This software is published under the GNU GPL license.

Please note that the screenshots are made a version in development (v0.2.0), and that many improvements are coming soon.

System Requirements

• Java J2EE (for JNDI and a WAR compatible servlet/JSP engine)
• Apache/Jakarta Regexp (a 100% Pure Java Regular Expression package)
• com.oreilly.servlet package (for handling multipart form)
• LOG4J (fast and flexible logging package for Java) - For future versions, not required yet
• JNDI Service providers for LDAP v3 - if not inclued in your Java J2EE

Supported Platforms

Likken has been tested on Linux. Specifically:

• Apache/Jakarta Tomcat 3.2
• OpenLDAP 2.0.7

Compilation

You must first build and install ANT 1.2 (a Java based build tool). You will also need JUnit (a Java based regression testing framework) if you wish to do some unit tests.

Standard compilation: ant

Unit tests: ant test
Cleaning: ant clean
